Great Christmas Memories

Nathan, Chloe, and I really had an enjoyable Christmas this year.  Thank you to all of our family for the wonderful gifts you gave to us.

It amazes me every year how fast Christmas goes.  With us running to one side for one day and the other side the other, the time really just speeds along.  I can't believe that it is over with, but we sure did have a great time.  Chloe is just amazing and watching her face light up as she opens presents is priceless.  Nathan and I were talking about how next year will be even better because she will understand the "Santa" concept.  We'll be able to leave cookies out for Santa, carrots out for the reindeer, and a piece of cheese out for Santa Mouse (one of her favorite books).  I can just she her running into our room to wake us up Christmas morning in her pjs...I'm smiling just thinking about it.

Anyway...Merry Christmas and many blessing for 2009!

First bra...

Nathan got me a couple of new sports bras for Christmas.  Chloe grabbed them up and was trying to put them on...somehow she knew that they went on over her head.  Anyway, Nathan thought it would be cute to put it on her and take a picture so here it is...Chloe wearing her first bra!  They grow up so fast.

Santa Came!!!

The pink bunny pj's have nothing on my new pj's!  Check them out...I can fit into a sleeper.

Christmas Eve with the Heibergers...

Christmas Eve was spent with the Heiberger side this year.  We enjoyed some nice conversation, a hearty meal, and a long night of gift giving.  Chloe was the highlight of the evening, but honestly, when isn't she.  It was the first time since her birthday in May that we had the experience of watching her open presents.  This year she really seemed to get it.  Chloe was really dainty when opening the presents though.  She would take one piece off and hand it to one of us to throw away.  Chloe had to make sure that every one of us received a piece of her wrapping paper.  It was just too adorable.

Chloe also like to unwrap the present and then move onto the next without even seeing what she got.  She would also go over to the pile and pick up presents.  She does this with everything though.  Chloe likes to try to pick up object sitting around the house.  It doesn't matter the size or weight...she gives everything a chance.  When Papa was leaving for work in the evening, she handed him his shoes, tried to hand him his "man purse", brought his lunch box over to him, and gave him a kiss.  I just know it melted Papa's heart.

Anyway, we sure did have a wonderful Christmas Eve.  Thanks to the family for making it so enjoyable!
